Early Editorial Portraits
A selection of editorial portraits made between 1986 and 1990, drawn from an archive currently being digitised from the original negatives. Photographed across Britain during a period of intensive editorial commissioning, the collection records writers, artists, musicians, actors and scientists at particular moments in their working lives — among them Mario Vargas Llosa, Wynton Marsalis, Bernard Lovell, Ray Davies, Brian Cox, Robbie Coltrane and Andrea Dunbar. The work ranges from formal studio portraiture to environmental and documentary approaches, each sitting shaped by the subject’s own world. A fuller catalogue will follow as the archive is scanned in full.

Research Archive — Infrastructure & Landscape
Lived Research and the Architecture of Systems gathers the central strand of an ongoing photographic enquiry into institutional and industrial infrastructure: the structures through which power, memory and labour are organised, and the landscapes left behind as they decay. Moving from the weapons-research ruins of Orford Ness through the broken sea defences and edgelands of the British coast to the industrial arteries of South Wales and the Thames, the work treats buildings, machinery and terrain as historical documents — records of what was made, what was abandoned, and what remains. The archive is organised in thematic sequences and continues to grow.

Commercial Photography — Industry
A commercial portfolio for industrial, manufacturing and energy-sector clients, built on four decades of photographic practice. The work moves beyond generic corporate imagery toward authentic, environmental documentation of people at work — engineers, technicians, apprentices and operators photographed in real industrial settings. Designed to help organisations build a distinctive image library that reflects modern industry, supports recruitment and apprenticeship campaigns, and shows the genuine character of a workforce and its environment. Commissions and consultations are welcome.
